With more than 25 years of experience in business management consulting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and lower middle-market transactions, Jay Shrewder co-founded Global Business Brokers, LLC, a trusted business intermediary firm serving Tulsa, Oklahoma, and surrounding states. As an expert business broker, Shrewder specializes in helping owners buy and sell established businesses, providing strategic guidance in valuation, negotiations, capital access, and transaction structuring to maximize client outcomes.

In addition to his brokerage expertise, Shrewder founded Pinnacle Capital Partners, LLC, a Tulsa-based corporate communications and advisory firm created to support lower middle-market companies facing challenges in capital access, executive management, and strategic communications. Over a 15-year period, the firm generated more than $10 million in value while assisting growth-focused businesses with funding strategies, investor positioning, and operational development.

Shrewder’s background in public policy and executive communications further strengthens his leadership in business brokerage and M&A advisory services. As a White House appointee under both the Reagan and Bush Administrations, he directed communications for the U.S. Department of the Interior during nationally significant events including the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill and major Endangered Species Act initiatives. While serving at the U.S. Small Business Administration, he helped secure more than $20 million in public-private partnership funding from major corporations such as AT&T, Federal Express, Arthur Andersen, and Pacific Bell to support small business training and development programs.

A fourth-generation Tulsan, Shrewder remains deeply involved in the Tulsa business community. He has served on the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners (appointed by Governor Frank Keating), the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation, the Tulsa County Bar Association Fee Arbitration Board, and Entrepreneurs of Tulsa. He also actively supports local nonprofit and conservation organizations including the Tulsa Zoo, 12 & 12, Trout Unlimited, and Ducks Unlimited.

Shrewder graduated from Cascia Hall Preparatory School, earned his B.A. in Political Science and History from Texas Christian University, and completed graduate coursework in Government Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C.
